7:29 am - SPRING BREAK 06!
|
I just wanted to say Hey to everyone and I hope you have an awesome weekend and week!
Today, in just a few hours, I'm flying out with my Marine Biology class (12 of us total, including our teacher and T.A.) to Key Largo, Florida and Miami, Fl for a week-long Spring Break lab!! I'll be back next Friday night (exhausted, I'm sure, lol) and I'll report all the fun stuff I saw over my break! I'm excited to see a lot of this stuff and I heard the teacher wasn't that strict so there should be some fun times when we go out at night!
Everyone take care and hope to hear from ya/see ya soon!
Love, Liz

3:31 pm - Some quick updates on me!
|
Ok so I am making some quick updates on me! Hehe I just spent the last...I don't know how long checking up on a few of my friends' friend pages (mainly Ashley, Sylvia, and Iza) and so I decided to post some stuff thats happening with me!
- I took the PCATS January 21st so I anxiously awaiting test scores to be in within the next 2-3 weeks. AHH!!! ::anxiety sets in:: lol!
- I need SURGERY! Well, oral surgery...The same exact day of my PCATS my wisdom teeth started to grow in and I was in some nasty pain for a few days. I went to my regular dentist for an emergency appointment, and he said yep, they've got to come out. All four of them! Mainly due to the fact that I had braces, and my wisdom teeth with throw my bite off. I didn't spent 2 years in braces for nothing! So I say rip those suckers off! ;) I don't know when yet I will have my surgery but I'm expecting in the next month..the sooner, the better. But I'm REALLY scared about it :( I'll know how Ashley felt after she had her surgery because for a few days I'll have to do the liquid diet thing.
- Tom and I are going strong and in fact THIS WEEKEND will be 9 months for us!! :) In fact, my school is throwing a Valentine's Day Ball in the Gold Coast ballroom at the DRAKE HOTEL downtown. It's going to be a fabulous, beautiful event! Because he and I will be bombared with 1st Exams next week, our "Valentine's Day" will be this Friday at the dance. It should be a lot of fun, I'm really excited! We're going out to a fancy dinner in Lincoln Park beforehand but I'm still thinking about what kind of sweet, unexpected gift I can get him :)
- My Spring Break is coming up very soon and I'm sooo excited about that! Because I'm enrolled in Marine Biology and I signed up for the Lab, I'll be spending my Spring Break in KEY LARGO, Florida where I'll be snorling almost every day, up close and personal with marine wildlife, and enjoying Florida and Miami! My Spring Break is the first week in March so it's coming up really, really soon. It should be a blast especially since I know a couple people going on the trip. I've started some shopping for it, like certain summery tops and what not. But mainly, I've been saving so I can go SWIMMING WITH THE DOLPHINS>>>> something I've always wanted to do ;) hehe
- I won $25 at a Super Bowl party yesterday! LOL Tom took me to his family party in Cary last night and I put $10 down to have my name written down on the squares..and my luck, I won after 2nd quarter :) I had a blast there and Tom's parents are so wonderful and welcoming to me whenever I go by their house.
Well that's all I can think of right off the top of my head! Pretty much school has been super hectic and I've been working a consistant 20+ hour workweek for the past couple of weeks (more than my usual, since I'm lowly part-time).
LOVE YOU ALL!
~Ela

11:54 pm - Hanson at Loyola??!?
|
Ok, I haven't had a chance to update my journal with events that have happened in the past 2 weeks or read any one elses' journal but I had to make an important post:
Hanson is gonna be at my school tomorrow!
Yep LOYOLA University!
LOL yes that band that I used to be obsessed with back in the day is officially in Chicago this week for their shows at the House of Blues on Wednesday and Thursday nights. I'm not going after a particularily bad experience at my last show (screaming chicks acting like they're 13 again, poor sound, crowded, etc..all that just turned me off) but I noticed flyers posted up all over campus last week and apparently they are doing a LIVE ACOUSTIC SHOW @ Centennial Forum Student Union at 12:15, a showing of "Strong Enough to Break" documentary at 1:15 and then I guess a Meet and Greet session!
LOL I am totally going to this, even though its gonna require me missing some classes ;) It's just funny after all these years...they're showing up to my college campus. Everyone's like, "Liz your dream is finally coming true", lol ;) True, I did dream since like 12 that I wanted to meet up close and personal, and this will pretty much be it! My friend Colleen is driving in from U of I, & Liz and Kim are showing up later. It should be a good time in one way or another!
CRAZINESS...;) I'll make sure to bring a camera! I'll make ya copies Ashley FOR SURE :)

Anybody happen to know where I can find *good* & *cheap* Bulls tickets??
Tom & I's 6 month anniversary is next week already! We'll be attending President's Ball together on our anniversary, but I'd like to give him a gift from me. And he'd love sports tickets, he'd pass out in amazement hehe :) Other than that, I have other gift ideas but I though this might be cute!!

3:54 pm - HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!
|
I really gotta update this thing :) School has been overwhelming me lately (geez, what's new) and instead of writing a biography for my History class that's due tomorrow..I'm updating LJ :) Hehe. I had 3 tests last week, with one of them being my Osco Certification Internal Exam. I was SO upset that I couldn't go out with all of my other friends that night to watch the White Sox (they won the Series, though! WOOOT!! I bet you were elated, Holly!!) but I HAD to stay home and review for my exam. But, it was worth it; 92%! Took over 2 hours to complete, and I got paid for that too! So, as of yesterday (Sunday) my new payrate is active. I don't know how much it will be exactly, but I'm hoping for at least a dollar or two more. Just a small step in the right direction for my career! Yay! :)
I had a lot of fun this past *Halloween holiday* weekend! Friday night my friend Sylvia let Tom and I borrow her & Jody's Six Flags Great America passes so we got to go to Fright Fest for free! :) Only thing that sucked was that the park was only open limited hours (5pm-11pm) and we absolutley FROZE out there. But, the rides were awesome, and we had a blast. Then, we drove back to catch "Weatherman" at Old Orchard and I gotta say that it wasn't all that bad. It had some funny parts in there, and my favorite part was that it was filmed in downtown Chicago & Old Orchard mall so I'd name all the places ("Lake Shore Drive! Old Orchard Food Court! That's off Lasalle..that's off Wabash! Etc).
Saturday I had to work during the day and then got ready for going out for the night in costume. However, its like this year everyone couldn't get their crap together and was depending on someone else for plans! ;)I mean, I had my away message on that night for an hour or two and I had like 5 people IM me with the words "SO WHAT'S GOING ON TONIGHT?". LOL. So yeah I was going around calling people and what not but a lot of things sounded too costly. Also, I wanted to stay more in the city because in case we went out drinking, I wanted to be able to spend the night at Tom's place because, duh, I wasn't gonna drive home after drinking. So, we hung out at Lunt for awhile and waited around with our friends to figure out what we wanted to do. Tom and I went as "C.E.O. and Corporate Ho" for Halloween, LOL! :) I wore a white pin-striped button-down collared shirt that I buttoned once so my pink lacey bra poked out a bit, short black skirt, black fishnet stockings, black pumps, and a tight black suit jacket. I had Tom's business cards popping out of my bra, my hair teased up in a half-ponytail with a pen through it, and I played up my makeup with long lashes and bright red lipstick. Tom wore a grey suit jacket (with a hole in it from "me ripping it off of him during passionate lovemaking on his desk", LOL), white collared shirt with red lipstick marks all over the collar, hair touselled, and a pair of my panties poking out of his suit pocket. It was absolutley hilarious...everybody loved our costumes!! I will post a link when someone finally posts some pictures! That night, we ended up just going to Hamilton's to party with people we knew. It ended up being a blast..I saw a lot of people I knew there and checked out some cool costumes! The only problem was that it ended up getting VERY crowded VERY fast and I got waaay too drunk. I was feeling fine, feeling a little buzzed, and then it was like *BAM* all of a sudden the alcohol hit me and I felt soo close to being sick (but I didn't get sick, thank goodness). I had a completley killer hangover the next day, and I was trying to function at work but that didn't go over too well :P It was only after the couple asprin I popped and a 2 hour nap that I was feeling halfway decent and not dragging my ass around. Wow, after that night I have to watch it because I was too freaking wasted, it was horrible. You know that its bad when you look at pictures from your digital camera and you don't remember them being taken! :P
Also..I got the newest H.I.M. CD yesterday, "Dark Light" and I am absolutley obsessed with it! Their whole vibe totally works with Halloween as well...real dark, gothic, metal music, but still beautiful love songs. They are amazing!
Anyways, I'm off to the library today to work on my paper! I'm dressed as psuedo-cowgirl today..I'm wearing my cowboy boots and a thick belt but I chickened out of wearing a hat around today :) hehe. ...HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ALL!

9:43 pm - RANT...a short one
|
Bah...you know what gets me? I have this friend from high school...love the girl to death, but is consistantly with her boyfriend 24/7 and its SO difficult to hang out with her because you have to make plans freaking weeks in advance, because she's hanging out with HIS friends all the time.
None of us girls approve of her boyfriend as well...ugh, but thats an entirely different story.
I just want my old friend back! And to actually hang out with her!!
I went to Enclave this past weekend (www.enclavechicago.com) and had a blast with my friend Maggie and her friends. You know why it was a blast? Because it was a collection of us 7 girls, having a girl's night out, and leaving our boyfriends AT HOME. I mean..GASP! We all had boyfriends..but we could still go out! Arghhhhhhh!

Hey all! Another random post from me :) Wish I had more time for LJ, but my comp at home is pretty much bust..the thing is definatley on its last leg. I should be getting a new labtop in the next few weeks...after my parents promising me for the past year I'd get one. Otherwise, the only time I'm online is pretty much at school! So inconvienent! :P
School of course has been taking up a lot of my time..I had my first exam today (of the new school year) in Brain and Behavior! It was a pretty tough, lots of memorization of neurotransmitters, vocab. words, and processes. I think I did OK though..if anything, I know I have 4 more exams in that class, so I should be able to even it all out :)
I have been so sick lately it's not even funny! My allergies came back FULL-FORCE in this past week and I've been a coughing, blurry-eyed, nasally-sounding mess. My voice yesterday? Sounded like a cross between a transexual and middle-aged hooker, LOL. I've been taking some OTC meds, prescription meds, and cough syrup...so I hope to return to health soon :P Ugh...I just hate going to school all day while being sick!!
Lots of fun events lately..it was my Mom's 48th birthday on Saturday as well as my friend Nicole's 22nd birthday..we went out to celebrate to Sundance Saloon in Mundelein. It was pretty far away, but we had a blast. We did some country-line dancing and I wore my cute cowboy boots I bought for Halloween last year..I was a happy girl! Tom and I had a blast dancing out there..I had a really good time with my girls as well :) I also forgot to update about it, but I went to Ravinia a couple weeks ago to see Buddy Guy and Jonny Lang play. It was AMAZING..I absolutley love the Ravinia festival. It was a gorgeous clear night and Tom and I were able to cuddle under the stars with a blanket and a bottle of wine...all while being able to enjoy an awesome night of blues. Tom makes me very, very happy...I can't believe its been 4 months officially already! :) Time has flown by...I am amazed how incredible it feels to be in real love. :D Yep, I am just one very happy girl! Now, I better shut up or I'll jinx something ;) ;)
I'm excited for the White Sox game I'm going to on Wednesday! Tom's parents scored us some awesome seats for FREE! Can't beat that! Even though I am a Chicago Cubs girl (hard-core) at heart...I got a little space there for the Sox ;)
Off to class! ~XOXO~

I start up school tomorrow! Eeep! Combination of looking forward to it and dreading it. My class schedule is all over the place, and that's not good because I need to fit in time where I can WORK :P I bet a little begging and pleading with teachers will *hopefully* allow me into the Cell Bio section I need. So, tomorrow I've got: Brain & Behavior, Cell Biology, and Cell Biology lab.
Oh yeah, and through the wonder of the internet ((sarcasm)) *TWO* of my teachers have already contacted me with work I'll need to do before class. Yeah. School isn't even in session yet, and I've got work to do! ARGH! So yeah...today I'm gonna be reading some Cell Bio & Lab stuff to be prepared for class tomorrow :P
Well, my boyfriend Tommy comes back tonight from his weekend trip with his friends to Canada. I would have gone too, but it was a whole last-minute thing, I couldn't afford it, and I had to work. I just hope I will be able to see him throughout the week...See, he just promoted from his internship this summer and was signed on to work into the school year. Big pay, big benefits..but that also entails more work and projects. I'm very happy for him, I just want to be able to see him..we'll both be working and going to class. Ahh that's another reason why I'm bummed the summer is over..less time I get to spend with him :(
Well, lots to do today! I'll report how school went tomorrows!!

School is less than 2 weeks away and I am dreading it :( This has been one of the best summers of my life, being able to RELAX for once and take it all in. Not do a damn thing but going out and working. But I have been feeling guilty..so I really need to get on to studying- at least for PCATs or something..but lord knows how hard it is to prepare for that test :P I'm also facing a LOT of tough-ass classes this fall. That's another reason why I am so nervous!
So I'm actually AT LOYOLA right now because my computer at home has been infected with some crazy virus and the only working computer in the house is my sister's labtop..and she's leaving for COLLEGE on Saturday! I'm so sad I can't even believe it! Diana and I have become really close in the past few years...it bums me out that I'm gonna be the only kid in the house! :( But, she's got to grow up sometime. I'm going to be driving with her and my mom on Saturday to move her in to school. Ahhh it's just that U of I and Champagne-Urbana are so far away..I wish at least she was a bit closer than 2 1/2 hours! Oh well I am sure that I will see her very soon..Labor Day weekend. Anyways, so I'm planning on making her a "care-package" with essentials for her place..like soaps, pens, notecards, flip flops, etc. Any suggestions?
Another bit of exciting news was that I went to the White Sox game last night against the Minnesota Twins. *TOM* (my boyfriend) actually caught a foul ball! LOL it was just pretty cool to hold a ball that was used in the game :) Anyways, the game began at 7:05pm...and went until about 12:30!!! Yep went into extra innings...16 innings to be exact! LOL towards the end we weren't cheering anymore, we were just waiting for it to be over, lol. But besides that it was a lot of fun! I love baseball and certain players on the Sox so I had a great time :)
~Love ya all~

Wow...got to thinking, and remembered that today would have been Nick and I's 3 year anniversary...
Weird. Strange. But I am SO happy to be where I am now. In love with someone that treats me like a queen and makes me their world. Words can't describe how I am feeling these days!! :) This is where I am meant to be in my life. I love love love Tom!
Since I mentioned Nick, I DO have an update on him. About 2 weeks ago he IMed me (I left my away message on) and he told me his grandfather passed away. Poor man died very tragically in the hospital..his leukemia didn't take his life, a medication error did. So, I attended the wake and what can I say but that it was awkward. I had been SO close to his family and they all lit up when they saw me. It gave me little pangs of pain to see them all again, but I guess it was good closure. God, even his uncle came up to me and said, "Nick threw away the best thing in his life when he broke up with you". His wife and him are trying to have children, and he said, "I can only hope to have a daughter someday that is half the woman that you are". OKAY what the hell is one supposed to say to that? :P Yeah...so it was a sad time, especially with the death in the family. Nick and I talked a little bit and I came to find out that he's leaving..for an indefinate amount of time. He's taking a highly-intensive mobile electronics course in Arizona for 2 months in which he'll be certified to do mobile installs in cars. After that, he said that he's considering getting a job out there and staying there. We talked some more and everything was very friendly, thank God. It was good to get that bit of closure.
Anyways, things are looking very well with me lately. I've been working more, and have been enjoying the fact that I'm not in class anymore this summer! But I am dreading the beginning of the school year. I've been having one of the most incredible summers of my life and I don't want it to end! Like..yesterday I went and saw "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" on the IMAX screen in Navy Pier with Tom..and we've been exploring lots of new cool bars and clubs downtown since we've turned 21 (like Becky's 21st birthday last week at Howl at the Moon) and I LOVE visiting Tom's house in Cary, IL. He lives right on the water and I always have a blast there. Like, last weekend we went and saw "Fantastic Four" at a Drive-In theatre in McHenry! I had never been to one before and it was so much fun! :)
Need to get ready for worky...<3 Need..to update..again soon :)

So, I'm back from Vegas, safe and sound! :) hehe, I was gone from Tuesday July 5th-Friday July 8th and had an absolute blast! It all came about last minute, actually..had such a great deal that I couldn't pass it up! I won't go into all the details, because I have pictures of it all for you nosey people that would like to see ;) It actually has the pictures AND captions so you can see everything I'd write in here anyway :)
http://community.webshots.com/user/blushezeasily
Anywho, here's some of my highlights of my trip!
- Totally surprising the crap out of Stefanie. Like I said before, she had NO idea I was going to show up! They arrived in Vegas around noontime and I arrived at around 5pm. Stefanie and her aunts were lounging by the pool when I posed as a coctail waitress and brought her her pina colada she ordered. She totally flipped out, it was great! LOL we were just screaming and shaking we were so excited! It was a great way to start out our trip! - We went to Coyote Ugly our second night in Vegas and I told the Coyotes it was her 21st birthday...so they brought us up to the "stage" (this offset of the bar) and got her down on her knees..and proceded to make her take shots! LOL the WHOLE BAR was shouting and counting out the shots she was taking..absolutley awesome :) - Turning 21 in Vegas has its fringe benefits! Besides Stefanie turning 21, everywhere I got carded people were wishing me a belated birthday..so we got free stuff and drinks! Score!!! - I pretty much broke even money-wise in Vegas. I lost it all in roulette, was too intimidated to play blackjack, and so I stuck to slot machines with Stef...my last night I made about $80 in nickel slots! Stef's mom was the real winner, though..she won about $1,000 total from the trip..WOW!! - Shopping in Vegas is INCREDIBLE. Stef and I shopped all the high-end shops...Agent Provacateur, Dior, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Chanel...we decided that if we won big, we would probably be tempted to buy $300 shoes.
All in all, I had an amazing trip. Funny how things work out! LOL I'm broke as a joke now..but it was nice to get away. :) The pictures I posted pretty much tell the rest of the story. Enjoy!!

So, a very serious issue rocked the Panek household a few days ago.
My dad and I were talking a few days ago and he was complaining of a lump in his neck. He showed me around his throat that the area around his Adam's apple was a little enlarged. Immediatley, I thought it could have been a problem with his thyroid and it could possibly be a small goiter..so I told my dad that he shouldn't worry and that he should just make a doctor's appointment and they could do some simple blood test work. He said he'd see our family friend, Dr. Obara, over the weekend and he'd ask his opinion.
Life's been really hectic for me lately, particularly with school. Organic Chemistry has been so intense and I feel like it's taken over my life..so Thursday I was cramming really hard for my final Friday morning. I was at my friend Ursula's house for 8 hours straight while we were practicing problems. I came home that night for a bit to gather my stuff because I was planning on spending the night by school so I could wake up early to cram some more and take my exam. I come home to my sister crying...she said that my dad had an appointment with Dr. Obara and he thought it could be a tumor.
A NECK TUMOR.
I immediatley began to comfort her and tell her it was going to be OK, and that it was most likely just due to his thyroid. Then, she told me she was upset because when she got home that day my dad looked really sad and was scared after his appointment...she also said he started crying. Let me just get this straight: my dad does NOT cry. He is the rock of our family, and I think the only other time I EVER saw him cry was when my mom was diagnosed with glaucoma many years ago. I comforted Diana, and didn't let myself break down. I couldn't; I had this huge burden of an exam coming up and I had to keep focused, at least for the time being. I tried to look for my dad, but he went for a walk..to clear his mind. I glanced at the kitchen counter and saw Dr. Obara's doctor recommendation on a piece of paper with big letters: "STAT- NECK TUMOR". I damn near broke down right then and there. I called my mom the next morning after my exam...turns out they decided to go to the E.R. that morning instead to get my dad an MRI scan. Then we found out, THANK GOD, that it was not a tumor, it was a cyst. So, they went in and drained it and now my dads on an antibiotic and steriod therapy. I think whats going on right now is that we're waiting to see if it is going to come back and if it is, then its going to require surgery.
So, the good news is that my dad is fine. He's weak and feeling a bit battered, but he's OK. He felt a loss of energy in the past few months, and I think that scared him a little bit too. Keep him in your prayers and thoughts!! <3 <3

Oh my lordie, so freaking hot outside...97 degrees! Ack! I want to go outside but my parents won't let me, lol :) I know I need to study Orgo but I'm lazy and don't want to. My FINAL is already next Friday...crazy how fast things move!! I want to do really well on it to get a shot at a good grade. Ugh..I'm already dreading the all-nighter I know I will be pulling next Thursday night!! :P
So on my way from class today I stopped by in Evanston so that I could pick up my paycheck from Osco. I had to kill some time, so I visited this one thrift store that I like. I've found some fun, funky pieces from there (like cool men's neckties that I would wear as belts, or little boy's t-shirts with funny saying on them) when I was just walking by the purse department and found a LOUIS VUITTON SPEEDY. Yeah, my mouth just dropped...and I quickly examined it to make sure it was real (LOL its sick that I can tell...thats what owning 40 handbags will do to ya!!) Link to picture of purse: http://www.eluxury.com/browse/product_detail.jhtml?styleid=10295973&SectionID= Sure, you can tell its a little worn, but I was way too excited to even care! LOL it was a complete steal..yeah, so that made my day :)
I also did some summer clothes shopping...just some basics, like a couple cute tanks and I also bought myself a white bikini! I'm going to save it until I get a little bit more color so I don't look like Casper the ghost in it ;)
Love ya, ~Liz

Yay for my birthday weekend! Hehe, it went by so fast. It took me forever to go through and check peoples' posts on LJ..I felt so behind! ;( Anyhow, I just wanted to thank everyone for their birthday wishes and awesome gifts! I felt so very loved :)
Well, last Friday was officially my 21st birthday. Everyone asked me if I was going out at 12:00am Thursday night when I was "legal" but of course I couldn't because I had a massive Organic Chemistry exam at 9:00am. I was really bummed because it was Tom's birthday and I couldn't join everyone at the bar for kareoke. I did pick him up from his job downtown though (AHH driving down there is so scary!) and gave him his gifts. He completley flipped...he was so surprised! I got him a Guess watch (the exact style he wanted...with black leather band), Roberto Cavalli cologne, a Sox shot glass (because we're 21 now and he's a big fan of the Sox), and I had my dad make him a silver ring. He immediatley put on the band and watch on because he loved them :) After I dropped him off we hung out with his friends but I had to go and study for my exam. So, my good friend Ursula, who is also in my class, crammed together. We made cup beyond cup of coffee and Ursula chain-smoked...we went to bed at 3am and got up at 6:15 to memorize some more..and then promptly took the exam at 9. After we got out of the brutal test (don't worry, I did well), Ursula says, "So, do you want to get a drink?" LOL...so we definatley went to Bruno's, this old-man bar by Loyola..and had Miller Lite's at *11AM*. HILARIOUS! Oh well, I wanted to get carded! ;)
From there, I had to zip home and get my house ready for my 80's-themed birthday coctail party. Because my house is still under construction, there was a lot of sweeping and rearranging I had to do. Then, I headed over to Sam's Club and Osco to buy food and booze for the party (more carding, lol). Even though I was on 3 hours of sleep, I had no time to take a nap because there was so much preparing to do. I got dressed and ready by 7pm and people started to arrive. The party was a success! It wasn't too big..it was mostly my old friends and people from Loyola. But it was awesome though...SO MANY PEOPLE dressed up for the theme! I wore a white suit (Miami Vice meets Madonna) and later on I changed into a champagne-colored glittery coctail dress. I had cleared out the second floor to make it the dance floor and I was spinning 80's tunes and new hits. Oh man did I get drunk though ;) hehe..way too many glasses of champagne!! I felt very bad that I couldn't really sit down and talk to everyone too much..I was being pulled into many directions and I had to be the hostess for the night. But everyone overall kept saying how much fun it was, so I guess I did pretty good! I passed out earlier on, at around 2, 3am but my friends from Loyola that spent the night went to bed around 4am. Everyone got up at around 8, 8:30am and I made chocolate-chip pancakes and Phil made scrambled eggs :) I then proceded to go to sleep..to try to sleep off my champagne hangover, hehe.
So I slept in for many more hours and got ready to go out for Saturday night. Most of the people copped out though, because they were too tired from my party the night before or they didn't want to spend the money to go out. Because Tom and I were so determined to go out anyway, we went!! :) We got all dressed up to spend the night partying downtown. I wore a cute black sequinted top, black skirt, and black stilletos. We started the night off at The Leg Room (no cover...score!) and chilled out there with our sour apple martinis. By this time it was about midnight so we headed over to Vision Nightclub. Because it was a special event that night (DJ Ferry Corsten was spinning), it was $30 cover..owch. But it was WELL WORTH IT. I had heard that Vision was a fun place to go, and I had a complete blast! Tom and I danced the night away and the vibe of the place was pretty cool..fun, and upscale. The music was amazing as well. We had a couple more drinks there, and we eventually got back at around 4am.
The next morning we were up by 7:30 to get ready to go to Cary for champagne brunch. We met with his sister and parents at Port Edward Resturant, where we had a beautiful brunch buffet...and Tom's parents arranged it so that we got brandy ice cream and the waiters sang Happy Birthday to us. It was a really upscale resturant, so huge..one of the best seafood places I've been to thus far. Because we were so tired, we wanted to take a nap so we got on our bathing suits and went on to Tom's boat...just anchored it in the river, tanned and napped! LOL, Tom's dad was so cute...because it was our birthday weekend, he filled up a cooler for us with beer :) We hung out on his boat for a bit and I got sunburnt :( We also went on his jet skiis...it was such a gorgeous sunny day! When it started getting dark, we headed back to Loyola and began to watch a movie but we were both falling asleep from a very long day!
All in all I had an amazing birthday weekend! My friends spoiled me with the coolest gifts..LOL as well as all the booze I received at my party, LOL. Tom got me a gorgeous Lacoste polo and Coach bag!! ... Unfortunatley, we didn't go to a casino on Sunday like we had planned...we were too broke from spending all our money the night before and we were waaay too tired...all that partying had caught up to us. But we're planning all the new, cool places we are going to go to...jazz clubs, blues clubs, dance clubs...this summer will be a blast :)
So here I am now..recouperating from all that partying! It's back to the real world, where I work, go to class, and I am terribly sunburned :( But it was all very much worth it...

So this morning my Organic Chemistry teacher, Mr. Peeran was going over Cis and Trans isomerism and wrote up the molecular formula of C8H17=CH-C13H27 on the board, and we had to draw them in E and Z forms. He said the Z form is actually a phermone of the housefly. "See, Organic Chemistry can be Sexy!!" LOL, funniest thing I've heard all week. Wow, see how nerdy I can be? All this class and work is getting to my head ;)
Anyhoo...tomorrow is 1 month anniversary of me and my Tommy :) I couldn't be happier! I plan to spend the day with him in Cary, and I'm gonna learn how to waterski (hopefully!!) Eeee!
Also..it's my bday in SIX DAYS PEOPLE..I am so excited but in a way dreading it because I have an Organic exam that day :( BOO HOO. At least I'll party the whole rest of the weekend and have the exam behind me :) This week should go by in a flash...between all my studying and coordinating plans :)

Gotta congratulate Ashley on her graduation weekend this past weekend! :) And tonight, my sister graduates from New Trier High School..Ahhh they grow so fast ;) It should be a really beautiful graduation. It's going to be outdoors, at Northwestern's football stadium in Evanston. The weirdest thing I think is that the New Trier graduates won't be in caps and gowns, but the girls basically wear white prom dresses and I think either the guys have to wear white as well or like tuxes? :/ I think my family is going out to dinner before and then the ceremony begins at 7pm. I HOPE* that it won't run too late..I have my 1st exam tomorrow morning and I am very behind on studying :( So, tonight is going to be cram cram cram!
Well my Memorial Day weekend was pretty fun :) I had a double date with my friends Friday night and they of course loved Tom :) I worked this whole weekend but it was pretty dead for the most part because of the holiday so I got to leave early. I think the funniest thing was that on Sunday, the ONLY prescriptions that we did (new and refills) were either; 1. Antidepressants (Xanax, Celexa..) 2. Birth controls (Yasmin, Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo) 3. Erectile Dysfunction meds (Cialis, Levitra, Viagra) LOL! So Brad and I were joking that either people were depressed or horny this holiday weekend!! HA HA!!
Monday I drove out to Tom's house in Cary and had an awesome night! We went to dinner with his best friend Ryan and sister Tiffany to a yummy resturant called Nick's Pizza that had the whole old saloon/barn feel. I had the best time...Tom took me out on his boat and golf cart, we visited his family party where I chatted some more with his family and friends, and had some more awesome food :) I absolutley LOVE going out there..its so serene, beautiful, and quiet..when it got late and dark the sky was so clear and you could see every single star in the sky. I remember that Iza and I used to talk about the future and how we Panek and Cioch girls should purchase a big summer home out in Fox Lake :D I can't wait to go back..I might this weekend if it warms up or definatley sometime next week.
15 more days until my 21st birthday, YAY!! :) Still need to finalize so many plans, but a party WILL ensue!! <3 <333
